You just have to find your vocal niche Lazer. A few weeks ago, someone posted a cover of You Wear It Well by Rod Stewart that needed a vocal. I think you might do OK on that.
Me too. I got one of the super cheap (free) Rogue guitars Guitar Center was giving away when you bought a 12 pack of D'addario strings, and much to my surprise, it sounds really good! I have a couple of Guild D-25's and I really like the way they sound, but the Rogue was a pleasant surprise.
Does it have a compensated bridge?
I have a D'Angelico that had a piezo transducer under a compensated bridge and Am always sounded weird. Like it was out of tune, but the individual notes were in tune. I couldn't figure it out. I finally removed the transducer and installed a straight bridge...
Use gasoline on the tacky rubber. Soak a shop rag and wipe the sticky rubber off. Once the sticky feeling is gone, wipe off the gasoline residue with 99% alcohol.

I use D'Addario phosphor bronze EJ16 on my acoustics, and have for many years. They last a long time (probably because I'm too lazy to change them). After they have been played a few months the tone doesn't seem to change much anymore. I change them when they start looking bad.
