I know. I tried to be sarcastic regarding the multimeter. Analogue is so cheap these days, it mainly takes space. I have the feeling that impedance matching is for audiophilliacs with expensive equipment but these guys just get someone installing their stuff with very pricey solutions. My first...
Same with old tascams. Line level . Read a buffered pedal such as a boss in bypass mode should help but that is why many guitarpedals suck on old mixers. I will build a stepped pad and try . I am trying to avoid buying a reamp box hard. I think a tiny mixer before the effect could be great and...
My bandmates setup was real stunning audio from a cassette tape. My best results are hitting it hard threw a desk early 60s style sound like the sonics. Both work but getting it to such awesome refined sound was due to the mass of the speakers and room and that of course changes the thing so...
It is even worse just audio tapes. But they sound great with some eq. Not so without. In a very large room they sounded ace threw old giant speakers with tube drivers after an early 70s mixer. But that setup is gone but would have been interesting when re-recorded.
Yeah more than 5 or so reel...
I wouldn‘t like to join them signals without protection but am diy so shure it is a quick thing to make still funny how differend people handle this with active splitters etc.
Well the pre I killed or whatever was brand new and died after 5 minutes on me because I am so ugly and it hated my sound. Ace for 5 minutes. Replaced by the store. All they said cooool todays dud. It took me hours to recover. The thing is it has giant transformers … and not all pres state line...
Should y cables for summing mono line level dual signal to one have a resistor for protection . Used as splitter it would be obsolete but other way around before let’s say a comp … thanx
Now I have my 0,3v 10k ohm signal comming from the reel to reel … should I pad the output fed it into my ol RFT mixer ( most basic wannabe broadcast console ). Sorry to be tripple checking but I had a mic pre die and learn more and more it wasn‘t a mishandling. What pad configuration could I use...
Now the output is -10db at 0,3v also but 10k or more … am I okay assuming that both the signals are somehow instrument level tailored towards big ohm mics ? Analog is in charge here not me. I can build a fuzzbox but this is very new to me . I know I can feed this 10k signal to my good ok shitty...
