    Echosphere

Cool stuff going on with delays on the guitars. The tone on everything is fine. Although the guitars get a little "clicky" later on in the song. I like the double tracked guitars later on in the song. Musically it needs to go somewhere, and it doesn't. It's just a lot of guitar playing...

Fleetwood Mac - "Dreams" jazz reharmonization

I thought the instrument bed sounded nice. Well balanced all around. The vocals are very tentative and pitchy.

New Original Song: For Your Consideration by Ujn X Reve

I thought it sounded cool enough. There is one note on the bass that has a ton of low end. The rest of the bass is pretty light. So it has the effect of the low end coming and going with certain chord changes. I like the reverb on this one. It works well with the feel of the song. The...

    Fiddle Worm

I thought it sounded great. No suggestions from me. Was the fiddle real or midi?

    The Only Word That Mattered

The acoustic guitars sound gorgeous. I'd pull them down a couple of db's when the vocal comes in. They compete just a bit. But boy do they sound good. I'd pull the bass down just a bit too. The drums sound good. Except for something going on with the snare. There is a sharp snap in it...

I don't think it's super-low - I'm guessing I'd cut around 120hz. But as a comparison I'd also try to do a low shelf cut on the bass. Like take everything below 180hz or so and pull it down by ~2db or so. Compare those two approaches and see what you like best.

    Alive

Sounded pretty cool overall. Things are well balanced to my ear. Except for one thing - I agree with Japov on the shaker level. Vocal edit at :14? Something sounded off. And at 2:52 the vocal level jumps a lot. A few more spots after that. Just for a syllable or so.

    Jove

Really cool vibe to the song. Excellent overall feel. I'd maybe back off the vocal effects just a bit. Do you have two takes panned out a bit? Something about the vocal sounds unfocused. Love the lead guitar. I thought the bass was a little too loud, too much low end, and could use a...

    Someone Else remix

I tried this one a couple of different times and ran in to Soundclick problems. Anyway it's working now. The guitars all sound very good. Tasteful playing too. Piano sounds OK. A bit artificial but not too bad. The first thing about the overall mix that immediately stuck out to me was the...

    OnLine

The guitars sound great. Bass is just a bit muddy. Man that thing is really locked in with the kick. Doubled vocals would sound nice on this.

    It turned out silly again..

Sounded pretty good. I thought the bass dominated the guitars in quit a bit of the mix. Really tight doubled guitars. Something about the tone didn't seem to fit for me. I'm hearing a Fender amp clean tone. That's just me.

    Rock On cover

I thought it sounded great. Guitars sounded great. Vocal sounded real good. Bass might be just slightly muddy, but just slightly. Lot's of delays on lots of stuff. In spots they can get in the way of each other. Maybe dial back the delay level on the instruments when the vocal is present.

    Post rock song mix

I didn't think it was bad either. I like the guitar sounds. The mix gets a little overbearing during the loud sections - where the synths are sounding like a string section. Everything is competing for space in the 400hz - 5K range. The low end can get muddy in spots - lots of stuff going on...

    The Who?

I thought this sounded great. Everything. I liked the snare. I'd back off the lead vocal delay just a little bit. I thought the bass was just a little bit heavy. I thought the guitar on the left (and the right when it's doubled) could be just a nudge brighter. I'm just pointing out picky...

The vocal level is better now.

    Back Seat Lover

Sounded good. Nice singing voice. Cool use of Autotune. Choice of sounds overall was very good. Song doesn't seem to really go anywhere lyrically. Repetition of lines gets a little.... repetitive? Little pop at 1:53 Slightly strange keyboard edits at :07 and 1:32

Don't Leave me Alone - Remix

I like the guitar sounds. Real cool. Nice parts too. Great vocal. Maybe nudge the guitars down a db or so. There's a little competition going on. Bass is sitting perfect. Drums are OK. The kick is a little muddy/thuddy. I don't think the semi-trashy snare sound works all that well. I'd...

    India

Real rich sound overall. Nice and warm. Great fidelity on the acoustic guitar. Cool percussion. Vocal sounds good. I think the lead could maybe be compressed harder. Words at the end of phrases get lost in the mix. Harmony vocal could come up a db or two.

    Bedivere (new original)

I thought it was good. It was interesting listening. Mixwise, I thought the guitar was a bit far back in the mix. The guitar was missing a little high end. Maybe add just a small bit of reverb. Like a small room. And a very small amount. It's an intimate song and I think you should keep...

    Isn't It lonely (Mix/song thoughts)

Generally I thought it sounded good. Great harmonies. I little too much reverb for me on the lead vocal and rhythm guitars. The guitars are competing a little too much with the vocal. Just a bit. The bass is covering the kick. Again, just a bit. All of this is minor stuff. It sounded...
