Yea I just used my Alexis today and it does in fact work on its own. Do you have any steps in which switches I should flip? I am going to try later today to figure it out but any help would do!

Update, I FOJND OUT MY PROBLEM!! It was just a user problem haha, the tapes that I bought didn’t have safety tabs so I just put a piece of tape over it and it let me record thanks everyone for your input!!

I should make a note that every other button does function properly, playback works, zero return works, reset works, fast forward works, play, pause and stop work but record does not work.

yea i had the switches exactly like that but it the record button just doesn't respond, every button responds exactly how its supposed to but the record button

Yea that’s where I got the steps to try to make it work and it didn’t. I tried pressing hard on the button, pressing play then record, pressing both play and record and nothing worked, so I’m kind of at a stop point of not sure what to do.
