Is the album now dead ?

I was referring to a single LP vinyl record. When I was a kid in the 60's and 70's, 45's were still a huge thing.

Yeah me too. I had a shitload of 45s before I ever bought an album. Horse with No Name, Heart of Gold, Changes, Frankenstein, Roundabout, etc... and on and on. First album was McCartney - Ram.

After looking at the prices of records in a store today they are dead for me. I can buy a CD for two bucks. I have a very high end turntable that I never use.
