Stereo separation adjustments software

Hi, I have a CD which has a good frequency and dynamic range but the stereo separation is terrible to me. It's early stereo and it seems certain instruments are in another room rather than a bit to the left or right of centre. I will rip the CD which I can to with existing software but I haven't found a way to bleed some of the of the left and right channels together; that is, to reduce the stereo separation. Can anyone suggest software to do this. Thanks Hans

Everything but the kitchen sink. It can do just the stereo difference, stereo boost, stereo, amount of stereo effect, mono..de lossifier..de clipper..



on the stereo or AC3 tab...I think.

Pretty much any DAW or audio editor can narrow the stereo separation. It's one of the most basic processes in audio. Some DAWs have two pan knobs on stereo tracks, which you simply rotate toward the center as desired.
