Best Speakers/Monitors From A Mixer?

Celestion DL8 MKII Dave - The Celestion factory was in Ipswich in the 80's - I went on a training course, and came home with them. I'd have real trouble swapping them. I think I paid £450 or thereabouts as a 'trade' price - no idea what that would equate to nowadays - they're ancient!

Only one report of course but you seem to have hit upon a pair of diamonds there Rob! Back then in USA they were about $500 so you paid about the right price. Can I be a further nuisance and ask what amp you use with them please?

Ha ha! Well, up to last week, one of these. I had a spare in a box so used it, but I've just put it in a PA rack, so have replaced it with a Technica Tuner-Amp from the same era as the speakers - because I was too lazy to go to the office and store to dig out something else. I wired the Technics up and as far as I can tell - it sounds the same. Volume is about 7/10 of course and the other one was about .5/10!
